My cousins kids are not allowed to have baseball card collections, and I can see how much it hurts them. They are a pretty anti-consumerist family. They do not make a lot of money, and believe in spending it only on important matters. I can see the soundness of this argument. With the right set of cards and some pep talks, you could easily double or even triple the amount that you invested. During the summer, you can play outdoor basketball, baseball, soccer – you name it and you can play it. When it gets rainy and cold, however, a lot of people give up on playing sports outdoors. In my opinion, this is a big mistake.
